Job summary

Ultra Precision Control Systems in Cheltenham is seeking an Associate Technician to join the manufacturing function, responsible for the assembly, integration and test of products for aerospace/defence applications.

The role covers fault diagnosis, ATP testing, and working with quality and engineering teams to drive improvements while adhering to procedures. A collaborative team player with industry awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Eye test within last 2 years and actions taken where required.
• Minimum 6 months broad-based cell experience.
• Understanding of being Eaton MSD Cheltenham certified inspection stamp holder.
• Thorough knowledge of continuous improvement methods, in particular lean.
• 3 years' experience within aerospace/defence environment or formal engineering qualification (NVQ/C&G/ONC etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assemble new build products and carry out repair of customer products per drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Undertake fault diagnosis of units that fail ATP and provide strip report for customer returns.
• Carry out final ATP of customer units as required.
• Identify problems and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Act as the cell link into quality, engineering and other areas as needed.
• Review job progress on an annual basis with emphasis on continuous improvement and alignment with Company Mission.
• Maintain awareness and attend training for company and self-development.
• Carry out any other duties as reasonably required.
