Airbus Operations Limited in Filton is seeking a system safety and reliability specialist to ensure airworthiness and safety compliance across aircraft systems. You will focus on ATA 28/32, assess risks, and drive safety analyses and validations.

The role involves collaborating with design teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to manage safety objectives and in-service risk. Occasional travel may be required and BPSS/export checks apply.

Qualifications

• University degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering.
• Proven experience in Aeronautical engineering, ideally in Safety and Reliability Engineering.
• Good knowledge of Aircraft Systems.
• Experience of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (CS/AC 25.1309, ARP 4761, ARP 4754A).

Responsabilités

• Review systems design and in-service solutions to understand how failures affect operations.
• Contribute to safety validation and verification activities at systems level.
• Generate and review Safety Assessments and Analyses for aircraft systems (FHA, pSSA, SSA, fault trees).
• Generate and review Common Cause Analyses (Particular Risk, Zonal Safety, Common Mode).
• Support System Design Teams and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety objectives.
• Liaise with Chief Engineer and Design Team Leaders regarding safety risks and mitigation.
• Analyse in-service occurrences to ensure safety compliance of the fleet.
