Job summary

Héroux-Devtek in Runcorn is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to define, support and improve methods that enable safe, high-quality, efficient production of landing gear components. You will create and maintain manufacturing plans and BOMs for OE and MRO workstreams using the ERP system, and design tooling to aid assembly.

In this role you’ll work with the Design Engineering Team on rework schemes, plan plating processes, and contribute to cost reduction initiatives while supporting

Qualifications

Solid understanding of reading engineering drawings for machining.
Experience with SolidWorks for tool and fixture design.
Knowledge of chrome, HVOF, nickel, zinc nickel and cadmium plating processes.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day shop floor support on manufacture/assembly and hydraulic test issues.
Create and improve manufacturing instructions and methods.
Develop and use Infor LN ERP for routing planning and BOM management.
Collaborate with Design Engineering on tooling and rework schemes.
Support NPI through design reviews and PFMEA risks.
