Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Stress Engineer for a permanent position in the aerospace sector. The role focuses on assessing structural integrity and performance of aerospace components and systems throughout the product lifecycle.

You will perform stress analysis, interpret data, and support design, development and certification activities, collaborating with design, manufacturing and testing teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace stress engineering or related structural discipline.
• Strong knowledge of stress analysis, structural mechanics and materials.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and data.
• Understanding of static, fatigue and damage-tolerance principles.
• Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Effective communicator and team player.
• Degree in aerospace, mechanical, or structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analyses for aerospace components and assemblies.
• Evaluate loads, stresses, strains and structural performance.
