Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton is seeking Skilled Fabricator/Sheet Metal Worker to join the production team at the HS Marston facility. The role involves mechanical assembly, sheet metal work and fabrication of aluminium and steel components, followed by welding and testing before final QC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent in fabrication, mechanical or engineering subject.
• Experience with hand fabrication and sheet metalwork.
• Experience working to high tolerance and using precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines.
• Assemble and test productions through different stages.
• Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines.
• Support ACE activities (5s, TPM, Turnbacks, Clinics).
• Maintain LOT traceability and quality control.
• Continue training to welding certification requirements.
• Ensure a clean, organized working environment and comply with safety rules.
