Job summary
Moog UK is seeking an experienced R&D Lead Engineer to drive electrohydraulic and electromechanical development from requirements to validation in our Tewkesbury team. You will lead cross-functional engineering activities and mentor junior engineers, with potential overseas travel.
Based onsite in Tewkesbury, you will collaborate with universities, funding bodies and partner businesses, ensuring high performance and reliability for safety-critical aerospace programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of aerospace engineering experience or adjacent field.
- Experience with electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic components.
- Familiarity with servovalve design is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements allocation and interface definition studies.
- Coordinate design activities with internal teams and external partners.
- Drive product development planning and execution.
- Lead component integration and testing with customers/partners.
- Prepare concise design decision reports and analyses.
- Engage with customers to pursue new business opportunities.
