Job summary

Safran is seeking a Quality Engineer to assure product quality through the lifecycle, supporting manufacturing, repair and validation processes. You will collaborate with Ops, suppliers and design teams to implement robust QA controls and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive aerospace quality experience, regulatory knowledge and strong problem-solving. You will mentor teams and sign off on critical releases (EASA/CAA Form 1) where applicable.

Qualifications

• HNC / HND or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline.
• Extensive experience with QA tools: APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, FMEA, Poke Yoke and RCCA.
• Line management experience.
• Solid background in Aerospace/Defence quality engineering and regulatory standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross functional and supplier interactions.
• Experience in working with internal design teams and with Customer/Regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality objectives with Ops and other QA teams.
• Define and measure product quality against set objectives.
• Implement corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Conduct audits and on-the-job training per regulations and procedures.
• Support validation processes and in-production quality considerations.
• Foster continuous improvement across production and repair areas.
• Analyze data to develop and implement quality improvement plans.
• Ensure products pass manufacturing/repair/validation processes and 8D issues are addressed.
