Job summary

Safran Nacelles Burnley is seeking a Quality Controller to join our quality team. You will conduct product and process inspections, verify conformance to drawings and specifications, and help manage non-conformances to safeguard customer, regulatory and internal requirements.

You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality colleagues to drive continuous improvement, support corrective actions, and maintain precise quality records.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in manufacturing.
• Product and process inspection experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and datum systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using metrology and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of non-conformance management and anomaly investigation.
• Root cause analysis experience (5 Why, Ishikawa, RCA, 8D).
• Understanding of quality standards and QA processes.
• Ability to read technical docs, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of Sheet Metal and/or Heat Treatment processes.
• Experience using SAP Quality Module.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and QA software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product and process inspections in line with engineering requirements.
• Verify compliance against drawings, specifications and manufacturing standards.
• Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.
• Validate product conformity prior to release.
