Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Skilled Inspector to perform visual inspections of aerospace components throughout production. You will read and interpret CMM reports to verify component conformity and use precision measuring tools including binocular microscopes.

The role requires a modern apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments, and a strong safety mindset. This 12-month PAYE contract is based in Bristol.

Qualifications

• Modern Apprenticeship, Time-Served Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is essential.
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably aerospace, precision engineering, or high-spec industries.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to follow defined processes and procedures.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements within manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of aerospace components throughout the manufacturing process.
• Read and interpret CMM reports to verify component conformity.
• Use a range of measurement equipment and inspection tools, including precision measuring instruments and binocular microscopes.
• Review and complete inspection documentation, quality records, and non-conformance paperwork.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with quality, safety, and process requirements.
• Work with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.
