Job summary

A well-established precision engineering company is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the quality team. You will conduct and document inspections of in-process and finished components, ensuring products meet customer and quality requirements, and work with production and the Quality Engineer to follow procedures.

You will use micrometres, callipers, comparators, indicators, pin gauges, thread gauges and scanning arms, performing first article, start-up, in-process and final inspections while

Qualifications

Experience in a quality inspection role within manufacturing or precision engineering.
Experience conducting first article, in-process and final inspections.
Strong knowledge of precision inspection equipment.
Experience using micrometres and callipers.

Responsibilities

Conduct and document first article, start-up, in-process and final inspections.
Carry out final inspection using micrometres, callipers, comparators, indicators and scanning arms.
Perform visual and mechanical inspection of manufactured components.
Ensure inspection results conform to customer and quality requirements.
Review and interpret customer requirements, drawings and specifications.
Inspect all parts manufactured on site prior to external processes such as plating, cleaning or bending.
Complete inspection documentation accurately and maintain quality records.
