Bolt Technical are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well-established aerospace manufacturer in Preston. You will be part of a quality team ensuring the highest standards of quality across manufacturing operations.

The role requires experience with CMMs and traditional inspection tools, with a focus on First Article Inspection (FAIR) and PPAP documentation, supporting continual quality improvements.

Qualificações

• Experience as Quality Inspector in machining, manufacturing or aerospace.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience carrying out First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Reading engineering drawings and quality documentation is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Perform dimensional inspection of precision aerospace components using traditional equipment and CMMs.
• Conduct first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Complete FAIRs and related documentation.
• Support PPAP documentation where required.
• Inspect incoming goods against drawings and requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and quality docs.
• Prepare inspection reports and quality records.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and gauges.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to resolve quality issues.
