Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Ampthill, United Kingdom, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements across the lifecycle. Qualifications

• Strong understanding of QA principles and non-conformance management.
• Experience in AS9100-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with Control Plans, RCCA, and quality problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain Control Plans from engineering drawings, specs, and customer requirements.
• Review drawings and documentation to identify critical quality characteristics and inspection needs.
• Manage non-conformance process: containment, quarantine, investigation, disposition, closure.
• Lead RCCA using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.
• Participate in design and drawing reviews to ensure quality is embedded.
• Support NPI by defining quality requirements and controls.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Assist audits and ensure AS9100 compliance; maintain documentation and records.
