Job summary

DART Aerospace (F.P.T. Industries Ltd) in Portsmouth, UK seeks a Project Engineer to lead development and certification of new aerospace products within our Design Engineering team.

You will drive projects from concept through to certification and delivery, coordinating design, manufacturing and quality to meet strict aviation standards. Requirements include a degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, strong knowledge of EASA/FAA/CAA standards, and CAD proficiency

Qualifications

  • Certification standards knowledge: EASA/FAA/CAA, DO-160, CS-27/29
  • Design for manufacture and aerospace materials understanding
  • Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and CATIA
  • Experience with GD&T and technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs into certified aerospace solutions
  • Lead development and certification of new products
  • Support bids with technical proposals and compliance matrices
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure feasibility and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate with suppliers for development and testing
  • Participate in project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
