Job summary

Senior Aerospace BWT Macclesfield, England, United Kingdom is seeking a Project Design Engineer Assistant (secondment). You will support the Project Design Engineering team with KPI processing, Static Data management and documentation to ensure live aerospace projects run smoothly.

The role emphasizes meticulous data handling, drawing interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration, without leading projects or customer liaison. This is a full-time, site-based position based in Macclesfield.

Qualifications

• Fast learner who works well under pressure and can switch tasks efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with accuracy in engineering documentation.
• Good working knowledge of BWT products and processes.
• Able to read engineering drawings and interpret technical information.
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process lower-tier engineering KPIs such as SARs, Engineering Orders, Change Requests and Concessions/Production Permits to closure.
• Handle Static Data workload, keeping records accurate, current and audit-ready.
• Support development and organisation of engineering documentation, including BOMs and estimates.
• Coordinate administrative tasks for Project Design Engineers, including database and correspondence support.
• Conduct basic research on materials, components and manufacturing processes to support design decisions.
• Prepare and organise technical documentation, reports, and project files to company standards.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to gather and pass on information as required.
• Maintain organised project records and ensure documentation is ready for engineering review.
