Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Luton is seeking a Process Operative to set up and operate Vacuum Pressure Impregnation equipment and curing ovens. You will maintain documentation, perform equipment checks, and support 5S housekeeping within the department.

The role requires teamwork across disciplines, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. Experience with Microsoft 365 is desirable.

Qualifications

• VPI equipment setup and operation experience preferred.
• Oven curing program control and chart recorder familiarity.
• Attention to 5S and housekeeping in the department.
• Documentation, travelers, and charts up to date upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Vacuum Pressure Impregnation equipment.
• Operate curing ovens using program controllers and chart recorders.
• Ensure documentation and work packs are current.
• Check plant equipment per maintenance check sheets.
• Understand calibration needs and dates for equipment.
• Identify and report defective equipment to supervisor.
• Take ownership of area under 5S program.
