Job summary

AML Sheffield is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead the NPI process from initial concept through to production handover. You will create detailed project plans, engage cross-functional teams, and manage supplier relationships to deliver aerospace-focused components on time and within scope.

With a minimum of five years in project management, you will communicate effectively with customers, manage time and workload, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced engineering

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within project management or similar role.
• Excellent communicator with experience of talking to customers.
• Strong organisational skills and time management.
• Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the NPI process through all aspects of the project.
• Create project plans that align with business goals and delivery timelines.
• Prepare scoping and briefing notes to engage teams.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to meet customer demand schedules.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time.
• Oversee handover from NPI into production.
• Source new suppliers and processes as needed.
• Manage customer relationships and set expectations for delivery.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained and up to date.
• Provide guidance to production teams during project execution.
• Collect quotations from the supply chain and manage supplier relationships.
• Identify cost-effective secondary processes and optimization opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
