Job summary

Safran Electronics & Defense in Banbury is seeking a Project Manager to lead aerospace NPI programmes from development through industrialisation to production. You will manage integrated plans, multi-disciplinary teams and the delivery of cost, schedule, quality and performance targets.

Applicants should have an Engineering degree and proven experience in NPI or industrialisation within aerospace or regulated sectors, with strong risk, change and stakeholder management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience delivering NPI or industrialisation programmes in aerospace/defence or regulated industries.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through product development and production readiness.
• Strong understanding of project planning, execution and cost control.
• Experience supporting Bid & Proposal activities and business cases.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of aerospace NPI programmes from development to production.
• Develop and maintain integrated programme plans and resource plans across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance).
• Own governance and reporting to senior leadership and customers.
• Lead risk, opportunity and change management activities.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and resource requirements for programme lifecycle.
• Support BD and Bid & Proposal activities with cost estimates and risk assessments.
• Act as primary interface for customers and key stakeholders to ensure commitments are met.
• Lead transition of new products into production with robust launch planning.
