Job summary
Safran Actuation Systems UK in Wolverhampton invites engineers to join the Manufacturing Engineering team as a New Product Introduction Engineer. You will drive the manufacturing planning, implement new products and facilities, and work across Design, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure smooth production ramp-up.
The role requires strong NPI and lifecycle experience, plus Lean, APQP/PPAP and PFMEA know-how.
Qualifications
- Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Product Design / Product Development or a related field.
- Strong experience in NPI and full product lifecycle industrialisation.
- Proven track record of introducing new products and processes into production.
- Knowledge of Lean, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, DFx and related best practices.
- Understanding of product development, industrialisation, assembly and test processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing planning and implementation of new products and facilities.
- Interface across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations.
- Define manufacturing system requirements using V-model, DFx, and Lean methods.
- Own design, development and validation of manufacturing processes and PFMEA.
