Job summary

Kingdom People are recruiting an MRO Technician / Aerospace Repair Technician for an aerospace manufacturer in Bedhampton, Havant. You'll strip down, inspect, repair and reassemble aerospace hydraulic components and LRUs, working from engineering drawings and CMMs to exacting standards.

The role is hands-on, requires 2 years' experience in aerospace or precision engineering, and hands-on use of micrometers, verniers and other precision tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience assembling complex mechanical components.
• Experience in aerospace, precision engineering or similar manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.
• Good computer literacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strip down, inspect, repair and rebuild aerospace hydraulic components and LRUs.
• Carry out mechanical assembly and reassembly of complex components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings and technical schematics.
• Follow Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and approved repair procedures.
• Inspect components for wear, damage and defects.
• Identify faults and support troubleshooting activities.
• Prepare components for assembly, including precision lapping of surfaces.
• Use precision tools and measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, dial indicators and torque wrenches.
• Work with specialist equipment including pressure gauges, flow meters and test equipment.
• Complete accurate inspection, repair and production documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams.
