Job summary

Héroux-Devtek Inc. in Runcorn, UK, is seeking an Assembly Technician to build, strip and inspect hydraulic units and carry out fault-finding investigations in a precision aerospace environment.

You will work to engineering drawings, CMMS and operation instructions, with a three‑month training programme before joining the shopfloor. A NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus experience as an Assembly Fitter in aviation, and a solid understanding of mechanical hydraulics, are

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as an Assembly Fitter in Aviation.
• Able to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and inspect mechanical hydraulic systems, both routine and complex.
• Fit and assemble sub-assembly parts and components.
• Identify and repair mechanical issues.
• Read and interpret drawings and manuals; use measuring equipment (e.g., micrometres).
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company standards.
