GKN Aerospace is seeking a talented and experienced Group Operations Manager (Group Leader) to join our Operations team at the East Cowes site. You will lead a cross-functional team, oversee high-value aerospace programmes, and drive day-to-day operations, delivering outstanding results.

Working with senior leadership, you will implement continuous improvement across processes and systems, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with strategic goals for a world-class aerospace

Qualifications

• Significant previous experience in a senior operations/leadership role within aerospace or similar manufacturing industries.
• Strong leadership and team development skills with a track record of delivering results.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen/Lean Six Sigma) and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
• Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
• Identify areas for process improvement and cost reductions.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Manage, mentor, and support staff to maximise performance.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives and business planning.
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular reports to senior management.
