Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Supplier Support in Filton, Bristol. The role focuses on supporting industrialisation, supplier performance, and transfer of work for serial and new product development programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering within a production environment.
• Aerospace industry background.
• Ability to assess designs for manufacturability and machinability.
• Familiarity with tolerances and dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop the industrial capability of suppliers.
• Support New Product Introduction and Transfer of Work activities.
• Lead supplier industrial reviews through to industrial coordination handover.
• Organise and support industrial kick-off meetings with suppliers.
• Work with suppliers to investigate manufacturing and quality issues.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis with procurement and operations teams.
• Review engineering drawings and contribute to manufacturability discussions.
• Drive process improvements and supplier capability.
• Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders.
