Job summary

AALTO, based in Farnborough, is a global leader in Stratospace manufacturing, delivering Zephyr platforms for aerospace applications. We seek a Manufacturing Engineer to enable design intent into a production system while meeting safety, quality, cost and time targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in highly regulated industries.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience creating assembly process instructions.
• Experience creating ERP routings.
• Familiarity with RCCA methods (Fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D).
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and qualify a HAPS production system using Manufacturing System Engineering tools and processes.
• Collaborate with Facilities Management to deliver shop floor requirements.
• Create/change MRP routings / job card definitions / SOIs / quality care cards.
• Provide technical dossiers and support to procurement, supply chain, and Make vs Buy decisions.
• Perform DFx studies and provide input to design teams.
• Collaborate with manufacturers of Ground Service Equipment and Jig & Tools.
