Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an Assembly Technician in the Bedfordshire area (Leighton Buzzard) to join a world‑leading aerospace interiors company. The role involves assembling diverse aircraft interior components to exacting quality standards in a low‑volume, high‑mix environment.

You will read complex drawings, use a wide range of tools, and maintain component traceability while supporting safe working practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, or 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of assembly experience within an engineering manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated high skill in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of industry quality adherence requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft interior products using a range of tools and fasteners.
• Work with alloys, steels, plastics, fabrics and leathers.
• Read aerospace drawings and documentation to ensure manufacturing quality.
• Maintain traceability of all components and assemblies.
• Package finished goods for road, sea and air transport.
• Follow health and safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Be willing to cross-train in other skills as needed.
