Job summary

The Mane Contract Services assembly team in Leighton Buzzard is seeking an Assembly Technician to join a busy aerospace interiors operation. You will work on assembling aircraft interior components to tight quality standards within a low-volume, high-mix environment.

You'll gain hands-on experience with precision hand and power tools, read engineering drawings, and contribute to on-time production while maintaining traceability and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Confident using a variety of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft interior components using hand tools, power tools, fasteners, adhesives and aerospace-approved materials.
• Work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, fabrics and leather.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Ensure components are assembled accurately and meet required quality standards.
• Maintain component traceability throughout the assembly process.
• Package finished products in preparation for transportation.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Support production targets, quality standards and delivery requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and reducing waste.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support other areas of production when required.
