Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division in Cheltenham is seeking a Goods Inwards Inspector to ensure that all incoming materials, components, and assemblies meet aerospace quality, regulatory, and contractual standards before release to production.

You will verify supplier documentation, inspect against drawings, and use calibrated tools to maintain traceability in ERP/MRP. This role supports audits and drives continuous improvement in the goods inwards process.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace quality inspection.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Familiar with AS9100 and aerospace documentation requirements.
• Experience using inspection tools and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, visual, and documentation inspections on incoming goods against drawings and purchase orders.
• Verify supplier documentation such as Certificates of Conformance (CoC), FAIRs, and traceability records.
• Use calibrated inspection tools and report non-conformities per quality procedures.
• Record inspection results in ERP/MRP and maintain compliant records for audits.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality Engineering, and Production to resolve issues.
