Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Level 3 qualified Fitter with manufacturing experience to join a long‑term aerospace programme in Burnley. You will move into aerospace manufacturing, assembling aircraft structures and components to precise engineering standards.

Key tasks include fitting components from drawings, drilling, riveting and torquing, using hand tools and measurement equipment, and recording production data in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification with practical fitting experience in manufacturing
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings or technical instructions
• Experience using hand tools and fitting equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly

Responsibilities

• Fit and assemble aircraft components and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings
• Drilling, riveting, countersinking, fastening and torquing as required
• Use hand tools, measuring equipment, tooling and fixtures with accuracy
• Position components correctly for assembly and ensure quality standards
• Record production and traceability information and report defects or non-conformances
