Job summary

Bec Recruitment Ltd in Manchester is seeking experienced Airframe / Aerospace Fitters to join a well-established aerospace manufacturer at their modern facility. You will work on metallic aerospace structures where precision, quality, and compliance are essential.

The role focuses on reading engineering drawings, performing drilling, riveting, sealant application and component installation. Overtime available with enhanced rates; Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30; 33 days leave and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Proven airframe/structural assembly experience.
• Background in aerospace manufacturing or high-precision engineering.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and aerospace specifications.
• Hands-on experience with core aerospace fitting processes.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metallic aerospace structures to quality standards and SOPs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and aerospace specifications.
• Carry out precision fitting: drilling, countersinking, riveting.
• Apply sealants and install helicoils, bearings and bushes.
• Use calibrated tools safely and correctly.
• Maintain 5S and safe working practices.
