Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking experienced Airframe Fitters for a Manchester-based aerospace manufacturer. You will assemble metallic aerospace structures, reading engineering drawings and performing drilling, riveting, sealant application and fitting of helicoils, bearings and bushes.

Working hours feature a four-day week, 7:00am–4:30pm, with overtime paid at 1.5x up to 10 hours and double time thereafter. Salary is £18.50 per hour with benefits and on-site parking.

Qualifications

  • Aerospace airframe/structural assembly experience, ideally within the aerospace sector.
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings and aerospace specifications.
  • Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with 5S standards.
  • Proficiency in a range of aerospace fitting processes.

About the Role

Are you looking for a fresh challenge with a forward-thinking organisation in the high-tech engineering sector? We are recruiting experienced Airframe Fitters to join a well-established aerospace manufacturer at their purpose-built facility in Dukinfield.

As an Airframe Fitter, you will play a key role in assembling metallic aerospace structures, ensuring all operations are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out assembly operations in line with Standard Operating Procedures and aerospace quality standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely, ensuring all are correctly calibrated.

Working Hours
  • Standard hours can be compressed into a four-day working week: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 4:30pm.
  • Overtime: first 10 hours paid at 1.5x hourly rate, any additional hours at double time.
