Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a manufacturing assembler for work on components and parts across our facility. Responsibilities include assembly, inspection, tooling maintenance and the use of CNC equipment in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in manufacturing, ability to read blueprints, forklift certification, and strong English skills. US citizenship or Green Card may be required for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Must be certified to operate forklift.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patterns. Determines method to remove material to meet customer specifications.
• Uses handheld air powered tools such as grinders, sanders and deburring tools.
• Adheres to standard operating procedures to meet quality and timing targets.
• Knowledge of surface finishing processes including blending and sanding parts, titanium experience is a plus.
• Completes and stamps process-related documentation.
• Maintains records and orders spare parts as required.
• Keeps a clean work environment and complies with safety and government regulations.
