Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an Estimating Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer in Hinckley. The role sits in the commercial team, focusing on pricing complex components and assemblies to support new business wins with accurate quotations.

You will prepare cost estimates from drawings, build BOMs and cost breakdowns, and liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams. The on-site position offers a £45,000 salary plus benefits and a Friday early finish.

Qualifications

• Aerospace or engineering background in fabrication or machining.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and BOMs.
• Experience in estimating, costing or manufacturing planning.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
• High attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates from engineering drawings & specs.
• Build BOMs and manufacturing cost breakdowns.
• Create process sheets for production.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers & internal teams.
• Support NPI and project handover into production.
• Analyse margins and identify cost-saving opportunities.
