Job summary

Short Brothers, a Boeing Company in Belfast invites applications for 12-month Engineering internships from Summer 2027 to Summer 2028. You will work across Design Engineering, Materials and Processes, and Stress Analysis, contributing to live project work in our Engineering function.

The role focuses on developing skills in aerospace engineering, with opportunities to collaborate across teams, explore interests, and progress within a world-renowned aerospace organisation.

Qualifications

• Forecasted for or have an honours degree (minimum 2.2) in a directly relevant subject (Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Product-Design Engineering, Advanced Composites and Polymers, Metallurgy, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Electrical / Electronic Engineering) where the course content has been accredited by one of the major engineering institutions enabling applicants to pursue CEng status.
• Requirement to work 36 hours per week 5 days a week in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
• Positive, enthusiastic and hardworking attitude combined with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in aerospace industry as a career.
