Job summary

AALTO HAPS Ltd. in the South East of England is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of electrical products for Zephyr programmes.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to generate and maintain the digital design record, collaborating with manufacturing and installation partners. This role offers exposure to evolving programmes in a growing aerospace company, with hands-on design work and a chance to influence Design for Manufacture

Qualifications

• Developing experience in aviation-focused electrical design.
• Ability to translate system-level requirements into complete design solutions.
• Experience resolving emergent electrical issues and developing innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support Avionics and Systems Engineering teams in producing and maintaining the production design record.
• Create detailed electrical designs using SolidWorks Electrical.
• Select electrical components to meet schematic and system requirements.
• Serve as a key contact for electrical design queries across engineering and production.
• Provide hands-on support to the build line to resolve electrical issues.
• Participate in design maturity gate reviews per AALTO processes.
• Manage design changes per configuration and change control processes.
• Collaborate with Production and Procurement on early DFM considerations.
