Job summary

GKN Aerospace Bristol invites undergraduates in computer science to join our Global Technology Centre for a year-in-industry internship. You will work on real digital and AI projects supporting aircraft manufacturing, including factory simulations, data handling and IIoT connectivity.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, be mentored by industry experts, and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace tech, with hybrid working and a starting salary plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be studying towards an undergraduate degree in any computer science related discipline.
• Experience with writing code.

Responsibilities

• Support development of mature technology for GKN factory applications and industrial roll out of i4.0 technologies.
• Assist in implementing AI technologies into manufacturing processes.
• Assist with connectivity for factory IIOT devices.
• Contribute to standardising cyber security of devices.
• Support development of standards for shop floor devices and equipment.
• Participate in data opportunities for automation and robotics.
