Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Digital Manufacturing Engineer in Bristol to drive digital manufacturing initiatives across the product lifecycle, delivering innovative processes and technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and IT to shape roadmaps and architectures that enable digital excellence, supporting the Defence business and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Digital Professional qualifications (e.g., UK minimum HND/Foundation degree or other national equivalent).
• General awareness of Manufacturing Systems.
• Experience in complex and regulated manufacturing operations within Aerospace or other industries.
• Experience with Industry 4.0 principles and digital transformation methodology.
• Active interest in novel manufacturing technology and continuous self-development.
• Strong problem-solving skills within strict regulatory and quality parameters.
• Knowledge of digital manufacturing systems, mapping and automation.
• Understanding of IIoT and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved digital manufacturing processes, systems and technologies.
• Fix, improve and transform current and future digital capability.
• Deploy and implement Digital Manufacturing processes across lifecycle stages.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver digital excellence.
• Work with IT to develop roadmaps/architecture to inform transformative manufacturing capability.
