Job summary

ALTEN is a global engineering and technology consultancy seeking an experienced Aerospace DFMEA Engineer for a civil aerospace project based in Derby, UK. The role is on-site, full-time, with 3+ years of aerospace experience and SC clearance preferred.

You will perform DFMEA on subsystems and design inputs, ensuring safety, reliability and robust analysis while collaborating with a leading team across project stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering with focus on DFMEA.
• Experience in general systems engineering, preferably with electrical/electronic background.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to work in a secure environment with SC Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFMEA support for sub-systems and design inputs, ensuring robust analysis and documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to pass on critical inputs and align DFMEA work with project requirements.
• Work in a managed service provider (MSP) environment, feeding into critical project stages.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting, with exposure to DOORS as a plus.
