Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Havant is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead the design engineering function for interior lighting and switching products. You will plan, coordinate and deliver design activities across multiple programs, ensuring resources, processes and data are managed to schedule.

You will work with senior engineers and PMO to maintain high performance, develop the team and drive improvements in engineering delivery. The role is onsite with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline with relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience leading design engineering teams in aerospace or regulated environments.
• Experience delivering product development programmes with design governance.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineering team across multiple development and support programmes.
• Ensure resources are allocated to meet program schedules and budgets.
• Maintain adherence to design processes, governance and configuration control.
• Monitor KPIs for design performance and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement in design delivery and standards.
