Job summary

Leonardo in Yeovil is seeking a Contracts Officer to join the Contract Management team, supporting multi‑million pound contracts and ensuring effective execution of agreements. The role is hybrid with some days on site at Home of British Helicopters.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, monitor obligations and cash, advise on terms, pricing and risk, and collaborate with internal and external customers to drive improvements and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Background in Aerospace or Defence (or similar environments).
• Experience in contract management, administration, or commercial roles.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide contract advice.
• Proven knowledge of contract terms, pricing and SAP/MS Office tools.
• Pro-active approach to resolving contract issues and identifying improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare internal approvals, contracts and other agreements
• Support the provision of customer proposals and contract amendments
• Execute all commercial aspects of the contract
• Monitor and report the progress of key contract obligations, including contract deliverables and cash
• Proactively resolve contract issues and provide contract advice to internal functions
• Contribute to the identification and resolution of contract risks and opportunities and business improvement/transformation initiatives
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external Customers that enable effective working
