Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Contracts Manager to join the Commercial team in Basildon, operating in a hybrid model with on-site presence. You will oversee contracts and bids, draft and negotiate terms, and provide strategic commercial guidance to IPTs across UK and export opportunities.

The role requires experience with government and international contracts, strong communication, and the ability to lead complex commercial strategies under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• High level understanding of contract law and its application.
• Experience with UK Government and international contracts.
• Ability to advocate at senior levels and lead commercial strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and tactical oversight to contracts and bid activities.
• Draft, negotiate and administer terms with procurement and subcontractors.
• Develop commercial strategies and ensure compliant pricing and proposals.
• Lead change control, monitor contract performance and manage commercial risk.
• Prepare bid submissions and maintain stakeholder relationships.
