Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a growing aerospace precision engineering team in the Birmingham area. You will be setting, programming and operating CNC lathes from engineering drawings, ensuring tight tolerances and high quality.

The successful candidate will have CNC turning programming experience, be confident with Fanuc controls and possess strong reading of engineering drawings and use of precision measuring equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and operating CNC turning machines.
• Experience with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections using precision measuring equipment and adjust machine offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Maintain high standards of quality in accordance with aerospace industry requirements.
