Job summary

Prime Appointments Recruitment Agency is seeking two experienced CNC Millers for an aerospace manufacturer in Basildon. The role requires 3-axis or 5-axis machining experience, preferably on Mazak or Doosan equipment. It is an on-site, permanent opportunity.

Salary details include £37,599.12 per annum base plus a 33% shift allowance, bringing the total to about £50,006 annually, with 25 days’ holiday and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Time-served CNC setter/operator with relevant certificates.
• Experience with 3-axis or 5-axis machining centres.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong inspection skills, attention to detail and computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Aerospace experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate milling machines to manufacture precision components from engineering drawings.
• Maintain tight tolerances and inspect finished parts using measuring equipment.
• Follow quality procedures and relevant ISO standards.
• Maintain machinery, uphold safety standards and minimise production waste.
• Support continuous improvement, energy efficiency and sustainability.
