Job summary

Bowmill Poole is seeking a fully skilled CNC Mill/Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator to manufacture turned components to customer drawings. You will program, set and operate CNC MILL/TURN Lathe machines with FANUC controls and produce both offline and online CNC programs.

An aptitude for Edgecam is an advantage but not essential. You will inspect your own work to drawing and SPC requirements, and maintain a high standard of 5C/5S in your area.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
• General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled.
• Working knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC MILL/TURN Lathe machines with FANUC operating control system to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications.
• Producing offline and online CNC programs. Knowledge and experience of Edgecam software/programming is an advantage but not essential
• Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
• Maintain your area to a high standard of 5C/5S
