Job summary

Gerrell & Hard Limited in Dorset is seeking two Catia V5 Design Engineers for on-site work on high-end aerospace projects, including satellites and propulsion systems. You will translate concept designs into manufacturable, test-ready parts, using additive and traditional machining with exotic materials.

ITAR compliance may require security clearance; motorsport or aerospace backgrounds are a plus. Requires a Mechanical/Automotive/Motorsport engineering degree and strong CATIA V5 proficiency,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering.
• Advanced CATIA V5 for parts, assemblies and drawings.
• Experience with FEA tools (Ansys or Abaqus) for stress, strain and vibration.
• Strong GD&T knowledge for precise drawings.
• Experience with lightweight/high-strength metals and composites.

Responsibilities

• Translate concept designs into manufacturable, testable parts.
• Work on aerospace projects involving satellites and propulsion systems.
• Collaborate across aerodynamics, stress analysis, build and test teams.
• Contribute to weight reduction and design optimisations.
