Job summary

Interaction Engineering in the aerospace sector is seeking a Semi-Skilled Operative to join our manufacturing team. The role will assist with the manufacture, assembly and finishing of aerospace components, following engineering drawings and production documentation.

Ideal candidates have practical engineering or manufacturing experience, are comfortable with hand and power tools, and demonstrate good attention to detail and a safety-conscious, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
• Good practical and mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work accurately and consistently.
• Good understanding of workplace health & safety.
• Reliable and willing to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the manufacture, assembly and finishing of aerospace components.
• Carry out a range of semi-skilled production and assembly tasks.
• Use hand tools, power tools and basic manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
• Work from engineering drawings, work instructions and production documentation.
• Carry out drilling, deburring, riveting, fastening and basic fitting activities as required.
• Measure and inspect components using basic measuring equipment.
• Ensure components are produced to the required quality and dimensional standards.
• Identify and report defects, damage or quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company, health & safety and quality procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
