Job Description

Cadillac Formula 1 is preparing for the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship and is seeking a talented Aerodynamics Engineer (Thermal) to join our team at Silverstone. This role involves supporting the development of aerodynamic thermal systems of our race cars, including brakes, power units, and electronics, through computational analysis and innovative design approaches. Responsibilities

• Develop aerodynamic cooling solutions for thermal requirements, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Analyze CFD and wind tunnel data to optimize aerodynamic performance.
• Understand aerodynamic structures and behaviors around the race car.
• Collaborate with management to develop and communicate thermal aerodynamic plans.
• Innovate and improve methods for design, testing, and analysis.
• Participate in team discussions, share ideas, and incorporate feedback.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar motorsport role, particularly in aero thermal management.
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics and numerical methods.
• Experience with CFD thermal analysis and interpretation.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience or CATIA).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Ability to perform duties efficiently and accurately.
