OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

Fortura Financial Partners is focused on delivering a robust, compliant, and client-focused advice offer to clients. The Adviser Lead will oversee client relationships, maintain oversight of the Financial Advisers – providing guidance and coaching, and work closely with the Operations management team and Risk and Compliance Lead to ensure operational processes are in place to deliver excellent client service.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Responsibilities:

The Adviser Lead responsibilities will include the following key areas. The appointed Adviser Lead will be assessed on KPIs aligned with these responsibilities.

  1. Business Targets & Client Acquisition
    • Deliver an annual business revenue target (set by the Leadership Team).
    • Monitor progress against key performance metrics.
    • Introduce and drive cross-selling initiatives (e.g., Mortgage and Protection products).
    • Develop relationships with all Financial Advisers and foster strong internal team relationships.
    • Identify, recruit, and retain Financial Advisers to support business targets.
    • Manage Advisory Team KPIs on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
    • Lead onboarding of new Advisers.
    • Lead, manage, and develop Adviser performance through regular meetings and assessments.
    • Deliver the Adviser Development Programme (ADP), including training, seminars, and courses.
    • Maintain ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and professional qualifications.
  2. Supervisory Oversight
    • Provide oversight to ensure advisers adhere to policies, regulations, and best practices.
    • Monitor conduct, identify, and address compliance risks proactively.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date client records in line with compliance standards.
  3. Risk Identification & Mitigation
    • Identify, assess, and escalate risks related to advice, client interactions, and compliance.
    • Proactively address potential misconduct.
    • Collaborate with Risk & Compliance teams to implement risk mitigation measures.
  4. Regulatory Adherence & Policy Enforcement
    • Ensure adviser compliance with FCA regulations, internal policies, and standards.
    • Reinforce financial crime prevention measures.
    • Ensure advisers only provide licensed services or referrals.
    • Keep advisers updated on regulatory changes.
    • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical decision-making.
  5. Governance & Reporting
    • Provide regular reports to Leadership on performance, risks, compliance, and client feedback.
    • Support internal audits and reviews.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • Experience in financial services, especially Financial Advice.
  • Experience with St James' Place preferred.
  • Line management and guidance experience with Advisers.
  • Strong sales and revenue generation background.
  • Client-focused, ambitious, and driven.
  • Excellent rapport-building and client interaction skills.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and initiative skills.
  • Adaptability to change and advocacy for business initiatives.
  • IT proficiency, including Office 365.
  • Commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
