Job summary

Citizens Advice Ipswich is seeking an experienced, motivated manager to lead the Core Advice Service on a permanent, office-based basis in Ipswich.

You will oversee a team of advisers (paid and volunteers), allocate resources across face-to-face, telephone and digital channels, coach staff, monitor quality, and develop service improvements aligned with national guidance.

A track record of senior-level leadership, strong IT skills, and attention to detail is essential; closing date 31 August 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience at a senior level supporting a diverse workforce.
• Experience managing a team of advisers and volunteers.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use management information systems.

Responsibilities

• To manage and co-ordinate a team of advice supervisors, paid staff and volunteers delivering Generalist Advice services to the public.
• Ensure resources are allocated daily to cover face to face, telephone and digital channels.
• Coach advisers (volunteer or paid) to meet business, advice and quality standards.
