Altrad is recruiting experienced welders for the GSK site in Montrose. The role involves safety-critical welding on high-integrity pipework under NAECI terms, with lodge and travel where applicable.

Applicants should hold a recognised welding apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3, ISO/ASME qualified, and CCNSG or equivalent safety certification. Two years of production welding experience is preferred, across various materials and pipe sizes.

Qualificações

• Completed a recognised Welding Apprenticeship or equivalent vocational qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 in Welding, ACE Card or equivalent certification.
• Current welding qualifications to ISO 9606, ASME IX or equivalent standards.
• CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent site-required safety certification.
• Minimum two years' experience as a production welder within an industrial environment.
• Demonstrable experience welding high-integrity pipework and safety-critical components.
• Proficient in TIG, MMA and FCAW welding processes.
• Experience welding large bore and small bore pipework across a range of materials.
• Experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, thermal power generation or nuclear sectors is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out welding activities on safety-critical components and high-integrity pipework per procedures.
• Read and interpret drawings, welding procedures, isometrics and specs to determine work requirements.
• Prepare materials, consumables and equipment, ensuring safety requirements are met.
• Set up welding equipment and perform TIG, MMA and FCAW welding.
• Inspect welds and identify defects, taking corrective action as needed.
• Support inspection of weld joints and complete quality documentation and testing.
• Follow permits to work, risk assessments and site safety procedures.
