Job summary

Kirkby High School is seeking an Advanced Level Teaching Assistant to join its Inclusion Faculty. The postholder will work with a small group of students in the school's care centre, which supports learners at risk of permanent exclusion.

Candidate should have a teaching assistant level 3 qualification (desirable) and Level 2 English and maths (essential); training will be provided. Hours are 30 per week, 46 weeks (term time plus workback).

Qualifications

• Teaching assistant level 3 qualification desirable.
• Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent) essential.
• Experience with secondary pupils preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small group of students in the care centre.
• Support students at risk of permanent exclusion.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare of pupils in a busy school environment.
