Job summary

Speyhawk Limited in North London is seeking an experienced Advance Steel Designer to join its office-based team. You will produce accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings and detailed manufacturing information for architectural and general metalwork projects.

Working with Project Managers and workshop teams, you will create 2D CAD drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel, interpret specifications, and help resolve fabrication queries while ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting and detailing with Advance Steel.
• Ability to create accurate 3D models and 2D CAD drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and design information.

Advance Steel Designer | Construction | Location: North London

Sector: Architectural & General Metalwork / Fabrication

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

A busy fabrication and engineering business is seeking an experienced Advance Steel Designer to join its office-based team.

Working closely with Project Managers, Structural Engineers and workshop teams, you will produce accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings and detailed manufacturing information for architectural and general metalwork projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce approval, fabrication and erection drawings.
• Create 3D models and 2D CAD drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel.
• Produce General Arrangement drawings, assembly details and material schedules.
• Interpret engineering calculations, specifications and design information.
• Liaise with project managers and workshop teams to resolve drawing and fabrication queries.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ continuous experience using Advance Steel for draughting and detailing.
• Strong understanding of architectural/general metalwork and fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering information.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with project and workshop teams.
• Full-time, 5-day office-based position.
